🕒 The "Past State" Pattern
In this story, we see how to describe things that were broken or stopped in the past. To reach A2, you need to move from is/are (now) to was/were or did not (then).
The Shift:
- Now: The app works. Past: The app worked.
- Now: It does not work. Past: It did not work.
Real Examples from the Text:
- "X stopped working" Action finished.
- "Reddit... did not work well" Negative state in the past.
- "A cable broke" The reason why it happened.
Quick Rule for A2: When you want to say something was a problem yesterday, use did not + [base verb].
Wrong: I no have internet yesterday. Right: I did not have internet yesterday.
