Introduction

Australia and Canada have a new deal. Australia will sell special radar technology to Canada to help them watch the Arctic area.

Main Body

The deal costs 2.5 billion Australian dollars. This is the biggest defense sale in Australia's history. The radar can see things very far away, even over the curve of the Earth.

BAE Systems will start the work on July 1. They will build the radar in Ontario. The system will start working in 2029. It will be fully ready in 2043.

BAE Systems

Canada wants to use technology from other countries, not just the USA. This helps Canada protect its land from other countries like Russia and China. Canada also wants to buy Australian drones.

This deal is good for Australia. It brings a lot of money. It also creates 300 jobs for technical workers.

Conclusion

This agreement starts a long friendship. Canada can now see its borders better, and Australia sells more technology.
