Introduction

On June 23, France put the historian Marc Bloch in the Panthéon.

Marc Bloch was a teacher and a soldier. He fought in two big wars. He started a famous history magazine with a friend.

Bloch fought against the Nazis in World War Two. The secret police caught him. They hurt him and killed him in 1944.
