This report looks at how people work, talk to others, and spend money.

Main Body

Hard work helps people get better jobs. Many people feel tired in the morning. They work slowly and carefully to finish their tasks. Good talking and clear emails help people solve problems at work.

💡 The 'How' Words (Adverbs)

In this text, we see words that tell us how someone does an action. They usually end in -ly.

The Pattern: Action + How it is done

  • Work \rightarrow slowly
  • Work \rightarrow carefully
  • Talk \rightarrow honestly

If you want to describe an action, take a describing word (Adjective) and add -ly:

  • Careful \rightarrow Carefully
  • Slow \rightarrow Slowly
  • Honest \rightarrow Honestly

Example from text: "They work slowly and carefully to finish their tasks."


⚠️ One Exception

Look at the word fast (not in text, but important). We do not say "fastly." We just say "fast."
