The San Francisco Giants baseball team has many problems. They have trouble with a special night and a famous player.

The Simple Rule:
Put did not (or do not) before the action word.
Examples from the text:

- Wrong: He listened to the coach. Correct: He did not listen to his coach.
- Wrong: He wanted to answer. Correct: He did not want to answer.

Notice that after did not, the action word stays simple. We don't say "did not listened"; we say "did not listen."
