⚡ The 'Action' Pattern

Look at how the story describes things that happened. We use simple words to show a direct action:

  • Burned a business
  • Attacked a synagogue
  • Stopped a spy

The Secret for A2: To talk about the past, just add -ed to the end of the action word.

Easy Examples: Plan \rightarrow Planned Attack \rightarrow Attacked Stop \rightarrow Stopped

🌍 Who is doing what?

In this text, we see three types of people. Notice how we name them:

  1. The Leader: Mike Burgess (A specific person)
  2. The Group: Some people from Iran (A general group)
  3. The Agency: ASIO (An organization)

When you speak English, start with the Person \rightarrow then the Action \rightarrow then the Thing.

Example: ASIO (Person) \rightarrow stopped (Action) \rightarrow a spy (Thing).
