Introduction

The UK and France have very hot weather. The governments are changing rules to keep people safe.

Main Body

In the UK, old hospitals and care homes are too hot. This is dangerous for old people. The government wants to make buildings cooler by 2040. Some schools and trains also have problems because they have no air conditioning.

In France, people who work outside in the sun are in danger. The law says they must have water. However, many workers still feel very hot and tired.

Many businesses are changing their hours. Some shops and farms work early in the morning. In Paris, fashion shows now happen in the morning to avoid the heat.
