Introduction

A UN group wrote a report. It says Israeli soldiers hurt and killed many Palestinian children since October 2023.

聯合國一個小組撰寫了一份報告，指出自 2023 年 10 月以來，以色列士兵傷害並殺害了許多巴勒斯坦兒童。

Main Body

Many children died. More than 20,000 children died and 44,000 were hurt. Soldiers used big bombs and guns in cities and camps.

許多兒童死亡。超過 20,000 名兒童死亡，44,000 名受傷。士兵在城市與營區使用了大型炸彈與槍械。

Soldiers also broke schools and hospitals. They put many children in jail. Some children were hurt in bad ways.

士兵還破壞了學校與醫院。他們將許多兒童關進監獄。部分兒童受到了嚴重傷害。

Israel says the report is wrong. They say they only fight Hamas. Other countries say Israel is doing bad things. The US says Hamas uses people to hide.

以色列表示該報告有誤。他們稱自己僅與哈馬斯作戰。其他國家則表示以色列正在採取惡劣行動。美國則表示哈馬斯利用平民作為掩護。

Conclusion

Life is very hard in Gaza. Leaders from different countries do not agree on the laws.

Quick Rule for A2: To tell a story or report news, keep it straight. Don't overthink it. Just find the person and the action.

Word Swap (Same Meaning):

Notice the 'Many' trick: When we don't have an exact number, we use 'Many'. Many children (countable) →\rightarrow More than 20,000 (exact).
