💡 The Power of 'SOME'

In this text, we see a pattern using the word some. Use this when you don't need to give an exact number.

  • Some horses are new.
  • Some horses raced before.

How to use it: Some + NounGeneral Group

🔄 Comparing Now vs. Before

Look at how the story talks about time. This is key for A2 English:

  1. Past (Finished): "won many races before" / "raced here before"
  2. Present/Future (Happening): "The race is longer now" / "they might win"

Quick Tip: When you see before, look for a verb that shows a finished action (like won or raced). When you see now, look for the current state (like is).
