In this story, almost everything happened yesterday. To talk about the past, we usually just add -ed to the action word.
Look at the patterns:
- Play → Played
- Score → Scored
- Change → Changed
⚠️ The Rule Breakers (Irregular) Some words are rebels. They don't use -ed. They change their whole shape:
- Win → Won
- Beat → Beat (stays the same!)
- Get → Got
