⚽ The 'Past' Story

To talk about things that already happened, we often add -ed to the action word. This is how we tell a story about a match.

Examples from the text:

  • play → played
  • end → ended
  • want → wanted

⚠️ The 'Rule Breakers' (Irregular)

Some words don't follow the -ed rule. They change completely. You just have to memorize them!

  • makemade (The referee made mistakes)
  • havehad (He had legal problems)
  • dodid (Fans did not like him)

💡 Quick Tip: Saying 'No' in the Past

When we want to say something did NOT happen, we use: did not + [Base Word]

  • Wrong: He did not liked him. ❌
  • Right: He did not like him. ✅

(The word 'did' already tells us it is the past, so the second word stays simple!)
