💡 The 'No' Pattern

In English, we use does not to say something is not true for one person or one thing.

Look at these examples from the story:

  • He does not get a lot of money.
  • He does not pay for travel.
  • They do not agree.

How it works:

  • 1 Person/Thing \rightarrow does not + action
  • 2+ People/Things \rightarrow do not + action

Simple Change: Positive: He gets money. \rightarrow Negative: He does not get money.

Quick Tip: When you use "does not," the action word (like get or pay) stays simple. You don't add an 's' to the end of it!
