Introduction

Buckingham Palace tells the public about the King's taxes. They also talk about where the King will live.

Main Body

King Charles III paid more than £30 million in taxes since 2022. Prince William also paid £7.76 million in taxes. They pay this money from their own private land and business.

The government gives the King money to fix Buckingham Palace. This money is £137.9 million now. From 2027, the government will give £99.9 million every year.

Look at the word 'Place'. It is a very useful A2 word because it can be anything!

  • A place for living \rightarrow Clarence House
  • A place for visitors \rightarrow Buckingham Palace

⏳ The Future

Notice the phrase 'will not'. Use this when something is decided for the future but it is a 'no'.

  • They will not live in the palace.
  • (Meaning: They are moving!)

Quick Tip: Will = Future \rightarrow Will not = Future No.
