⚓ The 'Action' Pattern

In this text, we see a very simple way to talk about the past. We take a basic word and often add -ed to the end to show it already happened.

Look at these changes:

  • Practice → Practiced
  • Talk → Talked
  • Learn → Learned
  • Share → Shared

⚠️ The 'Rule Breakers' Some words change completely. You must memorize these because they don't follow the -ed pattern:

  • Come → Came
  • Buy → Bought

Quick Guide for A2: If you want to say something happened yesterday, try adding -ed. If that sounds wrong, check if it is a 'Rule Breaker' like bought.
