Introduction

King Charles III and the Prince of Wales showed how much tax they paid. They also changed how they use their homes.

Main Body

The King paid £12.9 million in tax. The Prince paid £7.76 million. They get this money from their own land. They will use £500 million to build 12,000 new homes by 2040.

The government gives the King money for his work. This is called the Sovereign Grant. It is £132.1 million this year. The money pays for official work and old buildings.
