💡 THE 'NOW' vs 'THEN' SHIFT

In this story, we see two ways to talk about time. Look at how the words change:

The Past (Finished)

  • went → He went to the hospital.
  • arrested → Police arrested a man.
  • broke → They broke the rules.

The Present (Happening now)

  • is → The boy is doing better.
  • is checking → The hospital is still checking.

🛠️ WORD BUILDER: AGES

To describe people, we use a simple pattern:
Number + year-old + Person

  • 3 \rightarrow three-year-old boy
  • 30 \rightarrow 30-year-old man

Tip: We use the little dashes (-) to turn the age into one big describing word!
