💡 The 'Negative' Pattern

In this story, we see a common way to say 'NO' or 'NOT' using the word did not. This is how we talk about things that failed or didn't happen in the past.

Look at these examples from the text:

  • Some singers did not want to play \rightarrow (They said no).
  • Ten states did not send groups \rightarrow (They stayed home).

⚠️ Simple Rule: When you use did not, the next action word stays in its basic form.

Did not wanted (Wrong) ✅ Did not want (Correct)

Quick Comparison:

  • Positive: President Trump had a meeting.
  • Negative: Some states did not have money.
