💡 Focus: Talking about the Past (Simple)
Look at how the story tells us what happened. We use did and did not to talk about finished actions.
The Pattern:
- Positive: He says he did bad things. (Action happened)
- Negative: He says he did not do other things. (Action did not happen)
Quick Guide: 'Do' vs 'Did'
| Time | Word | Example from Text |
|---|---|---|
| Now | Do / Does | The judge will decide... |
| Past | Did | He did some bad things. |
Wait! Notice this: When we use did not, the next verb stays simple.
❌ Wrong: He did not did. ✅ Right: He did not do.
