🕒 The 'Past' Secret

In this story, everything happened in the past. To talk about yesterday or last year, we often just add -ed to the action word.

Look at these changes:

  • Hit \rightarrow Hit (This one is a trick! It stays the same)
  • Break \rightarrow Broke (Special change)
  • Fall \rightarrow Fell (Special change)
  • Arrive \rightarrow Arrived
  • Tell \rightarrow Told (Special change)
  • Stop \rightarrow Stopped

🚫 Saying 'NO'

When we want to say something did NOT happen in the past, we use a magic word: did not.

The Pattern: did not + original action word (no -ed!)

  • Wrong: The government did not said ×\times
  • Right: The government did not say \checkmark

Example from the text: "This plane was not allowed to fly there."

🏗️ Building Descriptions
