⚡️ The 'Past Action' Pattern

Look at these words from the text: beat, played, broke, made, missed, scored, worked.

All of these tell us about things that already happened. In English, we usually add -ed to the end of the word to show it is in the past.

The Simple Rule: Now \rightarrow Played (Wrong!) Past \rightarrow Played (Right! ✅)

The 'Rule Breakers' (Irregular): Some words change completely. You just have to memorize them:

  • Beat (Stayed the same)
  • Broke (from Break)
  • Made (from Make)

Quick Example: Today I score points. \rightarrow Yesterday I scored points.

🛠️ Word Power: 'Many' vs 'Zero'

To describe amounts in sports, we use opposites:

  • Many = A big number (Example: Many points)
  • Zero = Nothing (Example: Missed zero)

If someone "missed zero," it means they were perfect!
