Introduction

Stade Brestois has a new head coach. His name is Julien Lachuer. He has a contract for two years.

The old coach, Éric Roy, died on June 17. He was very sick for a long time. Éric Roy wanted Julien Lachuer to be the new coach.

Look at how the text talks about people. It uses two different 'time-words' to show if something is happening now or if it is finished.

1. The "Now" Word: HAS We use has for things someone owns or a situation that is true today.

2. The "Then" Word: WAS We use was when the person is no longer in that role or the situation changed.
