🧩 Simple Word-Building: Age

To describe a person's age, we use a dash (-) to make it a description word.

  • 34-year-old man \rightarrow (The number + year + old)
  • 21-year-old person \rightarrow (The number + year + old)
  • 17-year-old \rightarrow (The number + year + old)

Note: We do not say "34-years-old man". We remove the 's' when it describes the person.
