🕰️ Talking about the Past
In this story, almost every action happened in the past. To tell a story about yesterday or last week, we often add -ed to the action word.
Look at these changes:
- Search → Searched
- Disappear → Disappeared
- Stop → Stopped
The 'Irregular' Exception Some words are rebels and don't follow the -ed rule. You just have to memorize them:
- Find → Found (Wait! The text says "did not find". When we use "did not", the action word goes back to its normal form!)
- Go → Went
Quick Pattern:
Action + ed → It happened before now.
Did not + Action → It did not happen before now.
