Introduction
Many places in Europe and North America had very hot weather. Many people died and buildings and roads broke.
歐洲與北美洲許多地區天氣非常炎熱。許多人因此死亡,建築物與道路也遭到損壞。
Main Body
Europe was very hot. Germany and Poland had record high temperatures. In France, about 1,000 old people died because of the heat. The buildings in Europe are not made for this heat.
歐洲非常炎熱。德國與波蘭創下了氣溫新高。在法國,約有 1,000 名長者因高溫而死亡。歐洲的建築物並非為了應對這種高溫而設計。
Hot weather broke things in Germany. Roads melted and trains stopped. Some forests caught fire. Nuclear power plants in Hungary and Switzerland had to stop working because the river water was too warm.

North America was also very hot. The USA had heat waves and dangerous fires. Three firefighters died in the West. Scientists say the earth is getting warmer because of people.

Conclusion
Europe is a bit cooler now, but Central Europe and the Balkans are still very hot and dangerous.
