The Rule: To say "no" about the past, use: did not + action word.
- They did not wear seatbelts. (They were not wearing them)
- They did not drink alcohol. (They were sober)
💡 Top Tip for A2 Learners: Notice that we don't change the action word.
❌ Incorrect: They did not wore. ✅ Correct: They did not wear.
Even if the event happened yesterday, did not does all the heavy lifting. The action word stays in its simple, present form.
