⚡ THE POWER OF 'STILL'

In this story, we see the word still used many times. For an A2 learner, this is a magic word to describe a situation that does not change.

How it works: Use it when something was true before, and it is also true now.

  • Pritam Singh is still the leader. (He was leader \rightarrow He is leader now)
  • Sylvia Lim is still the chair. (She was chair \rightarrow She is chair now)

📦 WORD BOX: 'THE SAME'

When we don't want to list every person again, we use the same.

Example from text: "The other leaders are the same as before."

Simple Rule: Old List = New List \rightarrow Use "the same"

🕒 TIME WORDS

Notice how the text moves through time:

  1. 2025 (Past \rightarrow He lied)
  2. June 28, 2026 (Specific date \rightarrow The meeting)
