🔍 THE 'ACTION' PATTERN
Look at how the text talks about things that happened. To reach A2, you need to know the difference between doing and happening to.
1. The Active Way (Who did it?)
- People used guns...
- A man shot his sister...
The Rule: [Person] [Action] [Object].
2. The Passive Way (What happened to the person?)
- Two people were stabbed...
- Men were shot...
The Rule: [Person] were [Action].
💡 QUICK TIP: If you see 'were' or 'was' before a verb (like were stabbed), the person didn't do the action—the action happened to them.
