🔍 The 'Past Action' Pattern

In this story, we see words that tell us something already happened. To reach A2, you must recognize these "Done" words.

The Pattern: Most of these words end in -ed. This is the easiest way to show the past.

  • Start → Started
  • Plan → Planned
  • Arrest → Arrested

The Tricky Ones: Some words change completely. You just have to remember them:

  • Find \rightarrow Found
  • Tell \rightarrow Told
  • Leave \rightarrow Left

Quick Guide for Your Own Sentences: If you want to talk about yesterday, use these shapes:

  • Person + Verb-ed \rightarrow The police arrested him.
  • Person + Special Past Word \rightarrow The bank told the temple.

Why this matters: If you use "start" instead of "started," people think you are talking about now. Using "started" tells everyone the event is over.
