⚡ The 'Action' Pattern
Look at how the text tells us what happened. It uses a very simple formula: Who Did what.
- Pakistan attacked areas.
- Three police officers died.
- The Taliban government is angry.
Why this helps you reach A2: To speak basic English, you don't need long sentences. You just need a Person/Group + Action.
Quick Word Swap: If you want to change the feeling of the sentence, just change the action word:
- Pakistan attacked... (Strong/Violent)
- China tried... (Effort)
- Afghanistan says... (Speaking)
Vocabulary Tool: People vs. Groups In this story, we see two types of 'subjects':
- Single Groups: The United Nations, The Taliban government.
- General People: Normal people, Three police officers, 29 fighters.
When you describe a group (like 'The United Nations'), treat it as one single thing. The United Nations says... (Correct) The United Nations say... (Incorrect for A2 basics)
