Introduction

Australia and Vanuatu signed a new deal. It is called the Nakamal Agreement. Now, other countries cannot build military bases in Vanuatu.

Main Body

The leaders of both countries signed the paper on June 29, 2026. Australia wants to help Vanuatu. They want to keep the country safe from foreign armies.

Australia will help Vanuatu with police and safety. If there is a big storm or disaster, Vanuatu will ask Australia, New Zealand, and France for help first.
