💡 The Power of 'WILL'

Look at these sentences from the text:

  • "The Catholic Church... will pay $395 million."
  • "The leader... will write a sorry letter."

What is happening? We use will + action to talk about things that are definitely going to happen in the future.

Simple Pattern: Person/Group \rightarrow will \rightarrow action

Examples from life:

  • I will eat dinner at 7 PM.
  • She will call you tomorrow.
  • We will go to the park.

🛠️ Opposites: Money Flow

In the story, we see two directions for money:

  1. Paying \rightarrow Giving money away (The church is paying).
  2. Had no money \rightarrow Having zero (The church was poor).

A2 Tip: To say you don't have money, you can say: "I have no money" or "I don't have any money." Both are correct!
