🕒 Talking about the Past

In this story, we see a simple way to describe things that already happened. We change the action word (verb) to show it is finished.

The Pattern: Most words just need an -ed at the end.

  • Explode → Exploded*
  • Walk → Walked*
  • Happen → Happened*

The Tricksters: Some words are 'rebels' and change completely. You just have to remember them!

  • Put → Put (It stays the same!)
  • Is/Are → Was/Were (Example: "This was a bad attack")

Quick Word Map

  • Hurt (Injured/Pain) \rightarrow Sick (Not healthy) \rightarrow Hospital (Where doctors are)
