🕒 Comparing Now vs. Then

In the text, we see a simple way to compare two different times:

*"There are more police this year than last year."

How to use this pattern: When you want to say one thing is bigger, better, or more frequent than another, use: More [Thing] + than + [Time/Person]

Examples for your life:

  • I have more books than my brother.
  • There is more rain today than yesterday.
  • We have more food than last week.

📋 The "Must" Rule

When something is a strict requirement (you have no choice), use MUST.

  • Text: "They must sign up online."
  • Text: "Everyone must wear a special tag."

Simple Rule: Must + Action \rightarrow It is a rule!

  • You must sleep.
  • You must study English.
