⚾️ Who is doing what?

In this text, we see a simple pattern for talking about habits or schedules:

[Team/Person] $\rightarrow$ [Action]

The Giants $\rightarrow$ play
The Nationals $\rightarrow$ play

Quick Tip: When talking about a team (a group), we use the simple form of the verb.

⏳ Now vs. Before

Look at how the words change when we talk about the past:

Now: They play (happening this week).
Before: They played (happened in the last game).

Just add -ed to the end of the action word to move it to the past!

🚫 Saying 'No'

To say something did not happen, use did not + the basic action word:

The Braves $\rightarrow$ did not name $\rightarrow$ their pitcher.

(Notice we don't say "did not named". The -ed disappears when did not arrives!)
