⚡ The 'Action' Pattern

Look at how we describe things happening in the text. We use a simple pattern: Person/Group + Action + Object.

  • The army \rightarrow controls \rightarrow land.
  • The army \rightarrow kills \rightarrow people.
  • Hamas \rightarrow uses \rightarrow children.

Why this helps you (A2 Level): Instead of worrying about complex grammar, focus on this straight line. To make a sentence, just find your subject (who), your verb (what they do), and the target (who/what is affected).

📌 Word Swap: 'Dead' vs 'Die'

Notice the difference in the article:

  1. Die/Died (The Action): "A child died in June." \rightarrow This is something that happens.
  2. Dead (The State): "Many people are dead." \rightarrow This describes the person now.

Quick Tip:

  • Use died \rightarrow for the event.
  • Use dead \rightarrow after the word 'are' or 'is'.
