⚡️ The 'Want' Pattern

In this text, we see a very useful word for A2 students: Want.

It tells us about a goal or a wish. Look at how it changes based on the person:

  • One person (He/She/Team): Add an -s
    • He wants a fast attack.
    • The team needs... (Similar to want)
  • Many people (They/Teams): No -s
    • They want a strong front line.
    • Teams... try and win.

🔄 New vs. Old

Notice these opposite words used to describe the teams:

New \rightarrow New coach, new players Best \rightarrow The best high school players

Tip: Use "New" when something just started and "Best" when it is number one.
