💡 The 'Want To' Pattern

In this text, we see a very common way to talk about goals and desires: Want + To + Action.

How it works:

  • Subject \rightarrow want/wants \rightarrow to \rightarrow verb.

Examples from the text:

  • They want to agree...
  • Türkiye wants to make...
  • They want to travel...

Quick Guide for A2:

  • Use want for I, you, we, they.
  • Use wants for he, she, it, Türkiye.

Why this is useful: Instead of saying "My goal is to..." (which is too formal), you can simply use want to for almost any situation in daily English.
