All ten provinces in Canada now have a law to protect workers who are very sick.

現在加拿大全部十個省都已有法律來保護病情嚴重的人員。

New Brunswick changed its law in June. Now, workers there can take 27 weeks of unpaid leave for a serious illness. They will not lose their jobs.

新不倫瑞克省在六月修改了法律。現在當地的員工若患有嚴重疾病，可以請 27 週的無薪假，且不會失去工作。

Now, all provinces have similar rules. Workers in every part of Canada can take 26 or 27 weeks off for health problems like cancer.

現在所有省分都有類似的規定。加拿大各地的員工若面臨如癌症等健康問題，都可以請 26 或 27 週的假。

In the past, only Quebec had this rule. In 2022, the national government changed the rules for some workers. Then, other provinces did the same. The Canadian Cancer Society is happy about this change.

過去只有魁北克省有這項規定。2022 年，聯邦政府更改了部分員工的規定，隨後其他省分也採取相同做法。加拿大癌症協會對此項變革感到滿意。

Canada now has one standard rule. Sick workers across the country can keep their jobs.
