Vocabulary Learning

🕰️ Talking about the Past

In this story, almost everything already happened. To tell a story in English, we often just add -ed to the action word.

The Pattern:

  • Climb \rightarrow Climbed
  • Close \rightarrow Closed
  • Use \rightarrow Used

⚠️ The "Rule Breakers" (Irregular Words)

Some words are stubborn. They don't follow the -ed rule. You just have to memorize them:

NowThen (Past)
PutPut (No change!)
TakeTook
SaySaid
ComeCame

🛠️ Simple Sentence Build

To reach A2, keep your sentences like a train: Who \rightarrow Action \rightarrow What.

  • The police (Who) \rightarrow caught (Action) \rightarrow the couple (What).
  • They (Who) \rightarrow wore (Action) \rightarrow black clothes (What).
