🕒 The "Past Time" Pattern

To tell a story about something that already happened, we often change the action word (verb). Look at how these words changed in the text:

  • Go \rightarrow Went
  • Attack \rightarrow Attacked
  • Help \rightarrow Helped
  • Arrest \rightarrow Arrested

The Golden Rule for A2: Most words just need an -ed at the end to move to the past. However, some "rebel" words (like go \rightarrow went) change completely.

Quick Look at the Text:

  • "The boy went into the crocodile area." (Happened on June 18)
  • "A crocodile attacked him." (Happened on June 18)

If you see a date in the past (like June 18), check your action words!
