Introduction

Sachin Ahir is the new deputy chairman of the Maharashtra Legislative Council. He left Uddhav Thackeray's party to join Eknath Shinde's party.

Sachin Ahir won the election on Wednesday. No other person fought against him. He was a close friend of Aaditya Thackeray before he changed parties.
