Introduction

The Social Security Administration (SSA) will give special cards to some babies born in the USA in 2026.

Main Body

The USA is 250 years old in 2026. Babies born between July 2 and December 31, 2026, can get these cards. Parents get the cards at the hospital when the baby is born.

These cards have a special logo. They work the same as normal cards. Parents do not pay money for these cards. The government pays for them.

If a parent loses the card, the SSA will give a normal card. They will not give a second special card. The SSA says do not give money to people who promise these cards online. This is a scam.

Conclusion

The SSA will give these special cards to babies in late 2026 to celebrate American history.

📅 Time & Dates

Look at how the text talks about the future and specific days. For A2, you need to know how to group dates.

  • The Year: 2026
  • The Window: Between July 2 \rightarrow December 31

Quick Rule: When we talk about a specific date, we use the word 'on' (e.g., on July 2). When we talk about a month or year, we use 'in' (e.g., in 2026).

💸 'Free' vs 'Paid'

Notice these two sentences:

  1. "Parents do not pay money."
  2. "The government pays for them."

In English, if you don't pay, it is free.

Pattern: Something is free \rightarrow You do not pay money.

⚠️ Warning Words

"This is a scam."

When you see the word scam, it means: Someone is trying to steal your money by lying.
