Introduction
The Israeli parliament is talking about two new laws. One law is about religious study. The other law is about mosque speakers.
Main Body
Some leaders want a law for Torah study. They want the law to say that studying the Torah is very important. Prime Minister Netanyahu voted for this. He wants the religious parties to help him with other plans.
Some people do not like this law. They say it is not fair. They say the army needs more soldiers. They think some people use study to avoid the army.
Another law is about mosques. Some leaders want to stop the loud call to prayer. They want to stop the noise. Mosques will need permission to use loud speakers.
Conclusion
These laws are not finished. The parliament must vote again. Some people might go to court to stop the laws.

💡 The 'Want' Pattern
In this text, we see a very useful way to describe goals and desires.
The Rule: Person/Group + want + a thing (or to do something).
1. Wanting a thing
- Some leaders want a law...
- They want permission...
2. Wanting to do an action
- They want the law to say...
- They want to stop the noise...
Quick Guide for A2:
- I want used for me.
- They want used for a group of people.
- He wants (Notice the -s) used for one man/woman.
Examples from the story:
- Netanyahu wants the religious parties to help him. (One person = wants)
- Some leaders want a law. (Many people = want)
