💡 The 'Want' Pattern

In this story, we see a very useful word for beginners: Want.

When you describe a goal or a need, use this simple structure: Person + want/wants + thing.

Examples from the text:

  • The USA wants more factories. → (Specific country = singular)
  • Canada and Mexico want the rules to stay the same. → (Two countries = plural)

🕒 Talking About the Future

How do we say something will happen later? Use Will.

The Pattern: Will + Action Word (Base form)

Spot it in the article:

  • "Leaders will meet on July 20."
  • "The USA will check it every year."

Quick Tip: Notice that we don't say "will meets" or "will checking." Just use the simplest form of the action word after will.
