⚡ The 'Comparison' Trick

In the text, we see how to compare two things. This is a key skill for A2 English.

1. The 'More' Pattern When a word is long, we add more before it to show a bigger amount.

  • Example: expensive \rightarrow more expensive
  • Example: money \rightarrow more money

2. The 'As... As' Pattern We use this to say two things are equal (or not equal).

  • Text Example: "Other Chinese companies cannot make as many."
  • Meaning: They make some, but not the same amount as Apple.

3. Simple Opposites Notice the shift in the story:

  • Prices go up (raised) \rightarrow Parts cost more.
  • The car is fast \rightarrow It charges quickly.
