🛠️ Action Words: Past vs. Now

Look at how we describe things that already happened (Past) and things happening right now (Present).

The 'ED' Pattern (Finished Actions) When something is done, we often add -ed to the end of the word:

  • Arrest \rightarrow Arrested
  • Start \rightarrow Started
  • Attack \rightarrow Attacked

The 'ING' Pattern (Continuing Actions) When an action is still going on, we use -ing:

  • Attack \rightarrow Attacking
  • Punish \rightarrow Punishing

💡 Quick Guide: People & Things

  • Two men \rightarrow (Plural/More than one)
  • A man \rightarrow (Singular/Only one)
  • Many houses \rightarrow (Plural/Lot of things)
