People in Algeria voted on July 2, 2026. They chose members for the Parliament.

The government stopped 269 people from running in the election. The government said these people did bad things with money. Many people are sad because they have no freedom.

Some parties want more money for workers. Other parties want the government to free prisoners. But very few people voted. Only 11% of people went to vote by 3:00 PM.

People did not vote because food and clothes cost too much. The government gave free buses and a holiday to help. People in the south voted two days early.
