The Give & Get Pattern

  • Gave (Sent away) → The Colts gave Michael Pittman Jr. to the Steelers.
  • Got (Received) → The Texans got David Montgomery.

🔵 Describing People (The Simple Way)

We use basic adjectives to describe the players. Notice the opposites:

  • New (Fresh/Start) \leftrightarrow Old (Experienced/Aging)
  • Example: "...a new young player" vs "...two old players."

🟡 The 'Want' Structure

When a team has a goal, we use: Want + to + [action]

  1. Want to win
  2. Want to help
