In this text, the writer tells you what to do. To do this in English, we use simple Action Words (Verbs) at the start of the sentence.

Positive Advice (Do this!):

  • Read your papers.
  • Be patient.
  • Eat good food.

Negative Advice (Stop!): Just put Do not before the action word.

  • Do not tell your secrets.
