🛑 STOP vs. GO
In this story, we see a big difference between doing something and not doing it. For A2 learners, the easiest way to change a sentence is to use "did not" (didn't) or "does not" (doesn't).
The Pattern:
- He did not leave. (He stayed)
- He does not belong. (He is not a member)
How to use it in real life:
| Instead of... | Say... | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| I leave | I did not leave | I stayed there |
| I work | I do not work | I have no job |
| He wants | He does not want | He says 'no' |
Quick Note: When we use does not, the action word (verb) stays simple. We don't add an 's'.
- ❌ He does not wants
- ✅ He does not want
